The Punjab Education Department has directed the preparation of detailed lists of schools and teachers delivering unsatisfactory results in 9th and 10th grades.
Provincial Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat announced on Thursday through a statement on social media that, for the first time, the School Education Department is compiling records of schools and teachers whose performance in board examinations has remained poor. He made it clear that teachers consistently producing weak results will face dismissal from service.
The minister stressed that despite the allocation of billions of rupees to the education sector, poor academic outcomes will no longer be tolerated.
He further stated, “I will personally hold schools at both the district and tehsil levels accountable. Alongside this, a list of teachers achieving excellent results is also being prepared, and such teachers will be duly rewarded.”
