Humain Chat

Saudi Arabia has launched HUMAIN Chat, an Arabic-first conversational AI application hailed as the most advanced language model ever developed in the Arab world.

The platform was created by HUMAIN, a company fully owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF). At its core is the ALLAM 34B model, which was trained on what is described as the largest Arabic dataset to date, giving it unprecedented capabilities in understanding and generating Arabic content.

Designed for Arabic and English Speakers

HUMAIN Chat can converse fluently in both Arabic and English, with the ability to switch seamlessly between languages in the same conversation. It is designed to respond in real time while recognizing and interpreting a wide range of regional dialects across the Arab world.

The application is already available on web, iOS, and Android in Saudi Arabia, with plans to expand regionally and globally in the near future.

Saudi officials highlighted that the rollout represents a historic step in generative AI, finally bringing digital inclusivity to over 400 million Arabic speakers and more than two billion Muslims worldwide.

Built on Sovereign Infrastructure

What distinguishes HUMAIN Chat is its sovereign architecture. It is developed entirely by Saudi expertise, hosted on national infrastructure, and fully aligned with the Kingdom’s Personal Data Protection Law.

Tareq Amin, CEO of HUMAIN, described the launch as “a defining milestone,” stressing that Saudi Arabia can now produce globally competitive technologies rooted in local identity, data, and infrastructure.

A Large-Scale National Effort

The scope of the project reflects both ambition and scale. More than 120 AI experts, including 35 PhD holders, worked on training and refining the ALLAM 34B model. They were supported by 600 domain specialists across sectors to ensure robust and practical development.

HUMAIN, established in May 2025, was founded as a full-stack AI enterprise, covering cloud, data, infrastructure, and applications.

Global Partnerships and Ecosystem Building

To strengthen its ecosystem, HUMAIN is working with leading global tech giants, including Amazon Web Services, NVIDIA, Qualcomm, Cisco, AMD, and others. These partnerships span projects such as hyperscale AI data centers and hybrid cloud-edge platforms, ensuring scalability and global competitiveness.

The company’s board is chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and includes senior Saudi government officials as well as leaders from Saudi Aramco and Sanabil Investments.

The First of Many AI Products

HUMAIN Chat is only the beginning of a much broader product roadmap. Upcoming solutions will target governments, businesses, and content creators, adapting in real time to local needs and user behavior.

Officials emphasize that these initiatives will not only empower Arabic-speaking users but also position Saudi Arabia as a rising hub for artificial intelligence, both in the regional and global markets.
