Saudi Arabia has officially appointed Sheikh Dr. Saleh bin Humaid as the new Grand Mufti of the Kingdom, one of the country’s most prominent religious positions. He will also serve as the Chairman of the Senior Council of Scholars, the Kingdom’s highest Islamic authority.
The announcement was made on September 24, 2025, by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.

Sheikh Dr. bin Humaid is widely recognized as a distinguished Islamic scholar, known for his profound expertise in Shariah law and decades of service in teaching, religious leadership, and Islamic jurisprudence.
