O and A Level students

In a groundbreaking move, Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) has announced that, for the very first time, O and A Level students in Pakistan will be able to view their exam answer scripts online. The initiative has been launched to promote greater transparency and give students more control over the review of their papers.

Free Access for Students

According to Cambridge officials, students will not be charged any fee to access their exam copies. Once they view their answer scripts, if they feel their papers require further checking, they can request re-scrutiny through their respective schools. The service is now available across all Cambridge-affiliated schools in Pakistan.

Official Announcement in Karachi

The announcement was made by Uzma Yousuf, Country Manager for Cambridge International in Pakistan, during her visit to Karachi. She was accompanied by Arsalan Rabbani, Cambridge’s Marketing Communication Manager.

Yousuf explained that schools in Pakistan now have access to students’ exam scripts, which can be shared with candidates upon request. “This new policy ensures that our learners are fully empowered in the evaluation process and can build greater trust in the system,” she said.

Setting Cambridge Apart from Local Boards

This move clearly distinguishes Cambridge from Pakistan’s local education boards, where students sitting for matriculation and intermediate examinations are not allowed to review their marked answer sheets. Cambridge believes this change will empower students, increase fairness, and strengthen credibility in the assessment system.

Largest Cambridge Community Worldwide

Pakistan currently has the highest number of Cambridge students globally, with around 130,000 candidates enrolled at the O and A Level across the country. With over 800 schools affiliated with the board, Cambridge continues to play a major role in shaping Pakistan’s education sector.

Future Collaboration with Government

Officials also revealed that discussions are ongoing with the Sindh Education Ministry to explore further collaboration, starting with new teacher training programs aimed at strengthening the quality of classroom instruction.
