Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced the launch of a fresh phase of the HONAHAR Scholarship Program, encouraging eligible students across the province to apply.
In a post shared on her official X (formerly Twitter) account, the chief minister highlighted the program’s achievements, stating that 80,000 talented young individuals have already been supported under this initiative — with 50,000 currently receiving their scholarships and another 30,000 in the process of being awarded. She assured that the program will continue to expand, benefiting many more students in the near future.
Maryam Nawaz noted that since its inception last year, the HONAHAR Scholarship Program has been instrumental in opening educational and career opportunities in 67 “future-proof” fields, equipping students with the knowledge and skills needed to build successful and sustainable careers.
Announcing that the application portal for the next cycle is now live, she urged aspiring students to take advantage of the opportunity.
“Please apply with belief, study with passion, and never stop believing in what you can achieve,”
the chief minister said in her message.
The HONAHAR initiative aims to empower the youth of Punjab by investing in education and professional training, ensuring they are ready to meet the challenges of an evolving global job market.
