Global IT Training

The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) has signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with FAST-NUCES, paving the way for enhanced opportunities in skill development and international certifications for both students and faculty members.

The MoU was formally signed by Ahmad Islam Syan, Director of PITB’s Skills Development Wing, and Dr. Aftab Maroof, Rector of FAST-NUCES.

Expanding Access to Global Certifications

Under this agreement, PITB’s Global IT Certifications Program will enable students and faculty to pursue and earn internationally recognized certifications in various fields of technology. To further encourage participation, the program includes a 100% fee reimbursement policy, provided through PITB’s online portal. This initiative removes financial barriers and ensures equitable access to world-class learning opportunities.

Building a Competitive Workforce

Speaking on the significance of the partnership, PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf emphasized the impact such initiatives will have on Pakistan’s knowledge economy.

“By enabling access to international certifications, we are not only strengthening our talent pool but also ensuring that our graduates and professionals can compete and excel on the world stage,” he noted.

Looking Ahead

The collaboration between PITB and FAST-NUCES reflects a broader vision of fostering innovation, upskilling talent, and aligning Pakistan’s academic sector with global industry standards. With the integration of international certifications, students and faculty will be better prepared to contribute to the rapidly evolving digital economy.
