For over two decades, the HBL P@SHA Annual ICT Awards have served as a powerful catalyst for innovation, growth, and international recognition of Pakistan’s IT sector. Organized by P@SHA, the country’s apex trade body for IT and IT-enabled Services (ITeS), the awards have become a benchmark of excellence, honoring the leaders and changemakers who continue to push the boundaries of technology.
This year, the 21st edition of the HBL P@SHA ICT Awards will take place on September 19, 2025, highlighting the IT industry’s remarkable progress and its potential to help lift Pakistan out of ongoing economic challenges.
Recognizing Innovation Across 51 Categories
The awards will recognize achievements across 10 core categories and 41 sub and cross-categories, covering the full spectrum of the IT landscape — from startups and e-commerce firms to large-scale exporters, innovators, and business verticals.
A panel of world-renowned jury members will evaluate participants, ensuring that winners reflect not just local excellence but also global competitiveness.
Adding to the event’s prestige, Federal Minister for IT and Telecom (MoITT), Ms. Shaza Fatima Khawaja, will grace the ceremony as the Chief Guest, honoring top performers for their contributions to the industry.
Free and Open to All
Highlighting the inclusivity of the event, P@SHA Chairman Sajjad Mustafa Syed stressed that the awards are completely free to apply for. This accessibility allows participation from all segments of the IT community, including small and large companies, exporters, investors, students, women entrepreneurs, and new entrants alike.
“The goal is to create equal opportunity for every stakeholder of Pakistan’s IT sector to be recognized on merit,” Syed explained.
Gateway to Global Recognition
Beyond national prestige, the winners and runner-ups will earn the opportunity to represent Pakistan at the Asia-Pacific ICT Alliance (APICTA) Awards 2025 in Taiwan.
Pakistan has consistently made its mark at APICTA over the last decade. In 2024 alone, Pakistani teams won 10 APICTA Awards, placing the country among the top five nations in IT talent and achievements.
IT Exports on the Rise
The awards come at a time when Pakistan’s IT industry continues to record impressive growth. IT exports have jumped from $1.4 billion in FY20 to $3.8 billion in FY25, maintaining double-digit increases year after year.
Yet, the long-term vision is even more ambitious. The Prime Minister and the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) aim to raise IT exports to $15 billion by FY30. To achieve this, industry leaders stress the need for:
- Consistent, long-term taxation policies for the IT sector
- Simplified foreign exchange regulations for IT companies
- Stable macroeconomic and investment frameworks
A Defining Moment for Pakistan’s IT Sector
The HBL P@SHA ICT Awards 2025 will not only celebrate the achievements of Pakistan’s IT leaders but also underscore the sector’s growing role as a driver of economic transformation. With innovation, global competitiveness, and government support, the industry is positioned to play a pivotal role in shaping Pakistan’s digital future.
