Umer Shah

Ahmad Shah, the child star and viral sensation behind the popular “peeche tou dekho” (look behind you) reel, has announced the passing of his younger brother, Umer Shah, on September 15.

In a heartfelt social media post, Ahmad referred to Umer as the “little shining star” of the family and requested fans to remember his brother in their prayers.

Umer’s Popularity and TV Appearances

Umer Shah became widely recognized after appearing alongside Ahmad on television, particularly on Jeeto Pakistan and ARY Digital’s Ramazan special Shan-e-Ramazan. The sibling duo, often seen in costumes, was adored by audiences for their cheerful energy and charming on-screen presence.

This marks the second heartbreaking loss for the family, as the brothers had earlier lost their youngest sister, Ayesha, in November 2023.

Tributes Pour In

Condolences have been shared widely from fans and celebrities alike. Fahad Mustafa, host of Jeeto Pakistan, said he was “speechless” at the tragic news, calling it difficult to believe that “our Umer has left us.”

Similarly, Jerjees Seja, CEO of ARY Digital, said he was “still in shock” after learning of Umer’s passing.

Renowned host Waseem Badami, who worked with the Shah brothers during Ramazan transmissions, also shared his grief by posting a picture of Umer from one of their shows. Badami added that, according to doctors, Umer had suffered a cardiovascular arrest in the early hours of Monday morning.

A Family from Dera Ismail Khan

The Shah family hails from Dera Ismail Khan. Ahmad’s last Instagram post with Umer showed the two brothers dressed in school uniforms, smiling as they headed to class.

Umer’s absence, many noted, will be deeply felt not only by his family but also by viewers who grew fond of his radiant smile and joyous personality on-screen. The shows the brothers once graced together will never be quite the same without Umer’s presence.
