Gold prices in Pakistan soared to a record-breaking level on Tuesday, continuing the sharp upward momentum driven by international trends and local demand.
According to figures released by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), the price of 24-karat gold per tola surged by Rs. 4,100, climbing to an unprecedented Rs. 388,100, compared to Rs. 384,000 recorded a day earlier.
10-Gram and 22-Karat Gold Rates
Alongside the surge in per tola rates, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold rose by Rs. 3,514, settling at Rs. 332,733, up from Rs. 329,219.
For those buying 22-karat gold, the rate jumped by Rs. 3,222, bringing it to Rs. 305,016, compared to Rs. 301,794 in the previous session.
Silver Prices Edge Higher
Silver also witnessed an upward trajectory in domestic markets.
- The price of 24-karat silver per tola increased by Rs. 20, reaching Rs. 4,358.
- The price of 10 grams of silver rose by Rs. 17, now standing at Rs. 3,736.
On the international market, silver prices gained $0.20, climbing to $41.25 per ounce from the earlier $41.05.
