The second International Boxing Championship has begun in Lahore, bringing together fighters from around the world. Six Pakistani boxers will also compete in the Fight for Glory event, which will continue until November 29.
Boxers from the United States, Germany, the Netherlands, France, Ireland, Morocco, Ghana, Korea, Australia, and several other countries are participating. Many well-known international fighters are set to showcase their skills during the tournament.
Punjab’s Minister for Sports, Faisal Khokhar, said that hosting boxers from 15 countries is a significant achievement for Pakistan. He credited the Punjab government and the Pakistan Army for making it possible.
Pakistan’s top boxer, Muhammad Waseem, will step into the ring on November 29 for his Fight for Glory bout. Waseem said he is excited for the event and aims to deliver his best performance to secure a victory.
During a press conference, international boxers expressed their appreciation for the tournament’s arrangements. They said the championship in Pakistan would be a memorable experience and that their goal is to entertain fans with quality fights. They also thanked the Government of Pakistan, the Punjab administration, and the Pakistan Army for their support, adding that spectators will surely enjoy the event.
