HEC Opens Registration for USAT 2025

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan has officially opened the registration process for the Undergraduate Studies Admission Test (USAT) 2025, which is a compulsory entry test for students aiming to enroll in undergraduate degree programs across universities in the country.

According to the schedule shared by HEC, the last date for online registration is September 9, 2025, while the test itself is set to take place on September 28, 2025. Students are instructed to complete and submit their application forms through the dedicated portal at etc.hec.gov.pk.

Purpose of the USAT

The Undergraduate Studies Admission Test has been developed to assess students’ readiness and suitability for higher education. It works as a standardized admission requirement, particularly for institutions that follow HEC’s regulations, ensuring a transparent and merit-based selection process across multiple universities.

Who Can Apply?

HEC outlined the eligibility conditions for applicants, which include:

• Students who have already completed their Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or equivalent (Grade 12).
• Students who have appeared in their final year exams and are currently awaiting results.

This approach ensures that both fresh graduates and students still waiting for their results are able to secure eligibility for admissions in the upcoming session.

To make the registration process easier, HEC has launched an online help desk at onlinehelp.hec.gov.pk, where students can seek guidance and resolve technical or procedural issues related to their applications.
