Mohammad Amir to Captain Quetta Qavalry in Abu Dhabi T10 League

Quetta Qavalry have revealed their captain for their debut campaign in the Abu Dhabi T10 League, selecting Pakistan’s Mohammad Amir to lead the side in the upcoming edition, which begins on November 18.

The announcement was made through the franchise’s official social media channels, where a striking animated poster introduced Amir as the team’s first-ever captain. “The leader of the Qavalry. The charge starts now,” the post declared, signaling the franchise’s arrival with intent.

Despite a lengthy playing career, Mohammad Amir has only captained a team once before, when he led Karachi Kings against Peshawar Zalmi in 2018.

The newly formed Quetta Qavalry will make their tournament debut against Northern Warriors in the opening clash. Their campaign continues with fixtures against Ajman Titans (November 19), Deccan Gladiators (November 21), and Delhi Bulls (November 22), before concluding the group stage with matches against Vista Riders (November 27) and Royal Champs (November 28).

The side boasts a strong mix of international stars and local talent, with Yasir Arafat appointed as head coach.

With Mohammad Amir leading a squad filled with global talent, including Liam Livingstone, Jason Holder, Imran Tahir, Evin Lewis, Fabian Allen, Abbas Afridi, and Khawaja Nafay, the Qavalry appear well-equipped to make an immediate impact in their inaugural season of the Abu Dhabi T10 League.

The team’s balanced roster combines explosive batting power with seasoned bowling depth, offering fans in Quetta and across Pakistan another compelling reason to follow the T10 carnival closely.
