NADRA rolls out new Pak ID features

The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has rolled out a significant update to its Pak-ID mobile application, introducing new features designed to simplify the process of obtaining and managing identity documents.

Key Feature: Child Registration Made Easier

One of the most important updates benefits parents of young children. The app now allows parents to upload photographs directly from their mobile gallery while applying for a Child Registration Certificate (CRC) or identity card for children under three years old.

This upgrade removes the need to visit NADRA offices in person, helping families save time and avoid long queues.

Other Major Enhancements

NADRA confirmed that the latest version of the Pak-ID app introduces several user-centric upgrades, including:

• Photo Upload Flexibility – Users can upload and print their submitted photographs for official documents.
• Family Record Updates – Citizens can update records of unregistered family members directly through the app.
• Free Biometric Access – Applications can be submitted without fingerprint or facial verification, improving accessibility for those with limited biometric access.
• Improved Urdu Interface – Enhanced Urdu support ensures clearer instructions and better navigation for native speakers.

Expanding Digital Identity Services

These improvements are part of NADRA’s ongoing Pak Identity program, aimed at digitizing and expanding access to its services. The app also supports:

• Real-time ID tracking
• Appointment booking at NADRA centers
• Online fee payments via Easypaisa, JazzCash, and e-Sahulat

The authority has encouraged citizens to download or update the Pak-ID app on Android or iOS devices to take full advantage of the new features.

Previous Updates

Earlier, NADRA had introduced an application status tracking feature in the Pak-ID app, enabling users to monitor their CNIC, B-Form, and Family Registration Certificate (FRC) applications online without visiting NADRA offices.

With the continuous rollout of such digital solutions, NADRA aims to make identity registration more accessible, efficient, and user-friendly for all Pakistanis.
